According to a report in The Mirror, Kate, 28, and her long-term lover mag editor Jefferson Hack plan to call the tot Lola.
Jefferson and Kate's best friend, actress Sadie Frost were at London's St John And Elizabeth Hospital as the baby came into the world.
Jefferson checked Kate in on Friday.
Kate is said to be surrounded by her closest friends from the morning. She had rushed to the hospital after lunch at a Greek restaurant with Jefferson, Sadie and her husband Jude Law. She was said to look "amazingly relaxed" at the prospect of becoming a model mum.
