It's official: he can talk. Samuel de Cubber, the male model from that YSL ad, appeared on French TV and answered questions about his ordeal. Not much wit to report, I'm afraid, or in the words of ELLE's TV critic, Marion Ruggieri, "anyway, I wasn't in front of my TV set because I wanted to listen".

And yet: he is 24. he loves Paris. he is a taekwando champ. he loves the far-east. he likes japanese food. Sadly, this being France, not a single question about his sexual orientation.

Since this humble weblog published an advance copy of the nude ad, on October 21 (48 hours before the official release), it was downloaded 46,803 times. With this demand, you could expect someone would take the initiative to scan the real ad at hi-res. But it turns out SALTYT is still the only source online to run the ad, and therefore I keep getting letters from all over the world begging for a bigger scan.
