Gisele plays a bit

The March issue of W is self-titled "Our big fat March issue", but they could call it simply "The Gisele Issue". It is a kind of egg-chicken thing, but apparently W got a lot of ads from companies using Gisele because it had a giant ed with her -- or maybe vice-versa.

To neophytes in the magazine trade: asking advertisers to take advantage of their own model's appearance is sort of OK; to decide upon a model's appearance only by the advertisers contributions is not. It is an ethical infraction.

So how came the Vogue issue with Natalia is full of CK ads, while the W issue with Gisele is full of Dior, D&G, Balenciaga? Sorry I asked.

But I'm not going to complain. I felt sorry for Natalia, poor thing, trying to pose for a supermodel exactly on the same month that the only real supermodel of the decade was planning a blitz of her own.

I can't upload hi-res here (I'll do that Monday morning, at my new URL), but I thought the pic above could make a general impression. In the Dior ads (10 pages!) Gisele is, well, hot, culminating in the ad above with a hint of sexual self-play. The D&G ads are even harder (but not to my taste), while the ed is... Oh, don't let me begin. You know...

You see Gisele all over the place. You would think people would start to get sick of seeing her. But I, for one, never tire of gazing at her and her beautiful form. I'm looking forward to the other scans.

GISELE!!...again

I also thought I would not get tired with her but lately I've finally overdosed.
How is it possible that only two or three models dominate the whole industry? even back in the early ninties when the likes of christy and linda started to rule the scene there were at least fifteen really hot models along side, it was never a one woman show (literaly, having natalia open and close almost half the shows on the first two days of NY fashion week).
There's nothing i'd like most then to be surprised with fresh, new, gorgeous models when I open the next fashion mag I buy, but I guess that ain't hapenning soon.

Gisele is so thin.

In one Dior Ad., her arm looks so thin that it can be broken by wind! She used to look so healthy. Now these days, models are just so unhealthyly thin. Just mention a few name: Natalia, Karolina, Eva, and Giesele.
