When Another Magazine hit newsstands in early September last year its launch was quickly overshadowed. Twelve months later, however, the biannual fashion magazine, brought to us by Dazed & Confused's (and Kate Moss's) Jefferson Hack, is still around and is ready to capture some lost buzz.
For its one-year anniversary, the glossy has teamed up with The Diamond Trading Company, the rough diamond marketing component of De Beers, to give away some serious rocks in the UK market. Ten editions of the latest issue will contain a diamond worth about $7,500.
Pamela Anderson graces the cover of Another Magazine's third issue, which will go on sale in the UK September 12, just as London Fashion Week kicks off.
So far this biannual is faring better than Spruce, design bible Wallpaper's fashion-focused sister. That title also launched last September, but its next issue has already been suspended.
Another Magazine was the Dazed Group's first launch since the debut of Dazed & Confused in 1991. It bills itself as "the only international fashion magazine for men & women." The debut issue was a 320-page, larger-sized tome, centerfold and all. Stella McCartney art directed the nude pull-out of Kate Hudson and her husband Chris Robinson. Advertisers included Prada, Versace, Yves Saint Laurent, Burberry, Gucci and Marc Jacobs.
