Of all the excuses for a showbiz split, this has to be one of the saddest.
Supermodel Christy Turlington has revealed how a fear of flying after 9/11 led to her shock break-up with Saving Private Ryan star Ed Burns.
She blamed Burns, 35, and his family and friends, who refused to board jets to Europe in the wake of last year's terrorist attacks. They broke up weeks before the wedding because of constant rows.
"No matter where we chose [to get married], some people would still have to travel, so if this was our reason for postponing then we would have to wait until it was safe for everyone," says Christy, 33.
