Liz snubs Bing baby bung

Defiant Liz Hurley last night snubbed a £1.8million payout from Steve Bing for their baby son.

Actress Liz, 37, said the trust fund cash “was not wanted or welcome”.

A spokeswoman for Bing, 36, said £100,000 a year would be paid into a trust until Damian is 18 — and it was not for the mother to turn away financial support for their child.

Bing, who has never seen eight-month-old Damian, had said he would support the tot only if it was shown he was the dad.

DNA tests proved in June that he was, and yesterday the financial plan was agreed in the family division of the High Court.

Film producer Bing — heir to a £400million property fortune — said he was “delighted” the matter had been concluded.

But Liz later said in a statement: “I have always made it perfectly clear to Stephen Bing that I don’t want any financial help from him whatsoever.

“However, following legal proceedings instigated by himself and opposed by me, it appears that one cannot stop someone trying to give you money.

“I know £100,000 a year is an enormous sum of money to Mr Bing and I fully appreciate his generosity towards his son.

“However, my position is the same. The money is not wanted or welcome. Damian and I are managing very well by ourselves.”

Don't expect the couture ads of Chanel anytime soon: rumours circulating in Paris claim that upon the disastrous reception of the Anna Mouglalis launch in various mags, the Chanel House has decided to drop the model/actress after less than a month.

Mouglalis is in eds in December's Jalouse (pic above) and is expected in January's Vogue Paris. Both portfolios are much better than Karl Lagerfeld's original presentation of Miss Mouglalis. The Lagerfeld pics, published by Elle, last month were supposed to be the core of the Couture campaign.

Mouglalis will appear in selected "presentations" of Chanel Couture in fashion weeks around the world. She was supposed to open the shows on the catwalk, but now Chanel execs are talking of "selected appearances in the front row".

The problem with this solution is Mouglalis is completely unknown outside France. In fact, she is little-known even to true Parisians. She appeared in four students, low-budget films, and had a small part in one commercial movie. We're not talking Catherine Deneuve here.

It seems her almost constant nudity in the films she appeared in was another factor in Chanel's decision. In her latest movie, opening tomorrow, she plays a deaf young woman "communicating" with an older blind man thru intensive sex sessions.
