Nicky Hilton's MTV veejay boyfriend, Brian McFayden, is hitting back at the model who says he's a deadbeat dad. As we reported, stunner Heather Knese, 21, claims McFayden, 28, hasn't paid child support since July for her 14-month-old son she says she had with McFayden. But McFayden's lawyer counters that he's asked Knese for a DNA test but she won't comply: "Only she knows who she slept with."

Knese insists: "I wasn't with anyone else. And the last time we were in court Brian did ask the judge for a DNA test, but he said no because Brian signed the birth certificate and Dane is more than a year old, so it's a legal document of paternity . . . He's just trying to get out of paying child support."

Meanwhile, the former couple's friends are weighing in. "Brian is the devil," fumes Knese's Marilyn models agent Michael Ross, noting that he never provided health insurance for mother or child. But McFayden's friend, Motorola exec David Pinsky, calls Knese the bad apple. "She can be a cruel and vindictive person and I think she is a slightly off-center individual jealous of anyone who befriends Brian."

Victoria’s Secret stunners Gisele, Heidi Klum, Naomi Campbell, Karolina Kurkova, Lenny Kravitz’s girlfriend Adriana Lima and Maverick Records pooh-bah Guy Oseary’s girlfriend Michelle Alves mingled with Woody Harrelson, Joaquin Phoenix, Gina Gershon, Mark McGrath, David Blaine, his latest model squeeze Manon von Gerkin and Blaine’s still-friendly ex, model Josie Maran.

Gisele, who dined with Campbell, Beyoncé Knowles and Destiny’s Child at Canteen before the party while the rest of the celebs noshed at Nobu, seemed unfazed about the biggest scandal of the night - when four PETA protesters confronted her on the catwalk of the Lexington Avenue Armory holding signs reading "Gisele: Fur Scum," a reference to Gisele’s job modeling Blackglama mink coats. "She danced all night and had a good time," said a spy.

Possibly with more on her mind was Adriana Lima, who’s sporting a diamond ring and telling pals she’s engaged to Kravitz. But the randy rocker has flatly told at least one friend of ours, "We’re not engaged." The mystery deepens.

Meanwhile, Victoria’s Secret must be red-faced after PETA managed to interrupt its show despite security measures more appropriate for an airport than a lingerie fashion show. One of the four women got a job as a catering assistant, which allowed her to roam freely in the armory.

Don’t count on seeing the animal-rights activists on the Victoria’s Secret special on CBS at 9 p.m. Wednesday. The segment was refilmed after the anti-fur four were dragged outside by security and thrown in a police van. They were given disorderly conduct summonses and released.
