From the NY Post Amid the shuffles, Anne Zehren, publisher of Teen People, is leaving to take a three-month unpaid sabbatical and return to an undetermined job. "I'll see what is available when I return," she said. Paul Caine, associate publisher of People, moves into Zehren's old slot. Meanwhile, Kathleen Kayse - Money's former publisher - was named publisher of People. People is still the most profitable magazine in the country, and its ad downturn - down 3 percent through August - is outperforming the industry. In addition to pesky Bonnie Fuller's Us Weekly, where ad pages are up 4 percent, People will soon have to contend with German media giant Bauer Publications' launch of In Touch into the marketplace. In Touch is only looking to sign up 20 ad pages in each 100-page issue. Meanwhile, the teen market, which was once so robust, has been struggling lately. Advertising at Teen People was down 10.73 percent through August to 565.3.
