Big changes are afoot at Playboy now that it's revamping and moving its editorial headquarters to New York. According to a source close to the magazine, incoming editorial director James Kaminsky doesn't want to see Hugh Hefner's seemingly endless string of blonde bimbo bedmates showing up in the pages month after month. "He's ordered everyone, 'No more girlfriends of Hef's in the magazine!' " says the tipster. Instead, Kaminsky - who will replace longtime editorial director Arthur Kretchmer when Kretchmer steps down after Playboy's 50th anniversary next year - wants to skew toward Maxim's younger audience with "tall models and celebrities. He hates the bleached-blonde, fake boobs look." Kaminsky is even willing to forgo nudity in order to get mainstream starlets to pose, says the source. A spokeswoman for the mag says: "There is absolutely no truth to the rumor that Mr. Hefner's girlfriends will not be considered for the pages of Playboy. Mr. Hefner and Playboy have always been the leaders in defining, interpreting and celebrating the beauty of women and will continue to do so."
