Fashion world lines up against war on Saddam

If Tony Blair reckons today's anti-war protesters are the pot-smoking hippies of his youth, he'd better think again. The latest opposition to war on Iraq comes from the well-groomed young stars of catwalk fashion.

A group called Fashion Against the War is about to announce plans for a peace march in London in early March. Led by photographer Corinne Day and actress Sienna Miller, it already claims the support of Kate Moss, Jude Law and Sadie Frost.
"I am organising a march, a protest march, with Corinne," Miller tells me. "She is enormously anti and has been rallying her friends together, the likes of Kate, Jude and Sadie.

"It's going to be huge. It's got to be: we have to make Blair listen somehow. We want the whole fashion world to get together for this, and are going to take out advertisements in Vogue and ID magazine to get people to come along.

"The idea is to have a lot of people there, fronted by a group of high-profile types. That's the only way to guarantee coverage."

A spokesman for Law and Frost said yesterday: "They are both completely opposed to a war."
