On December 1 I 've asked readers of this humble weblog, many of them fashion pros, what nation is going to replace Belgium in the modelling world, once the belgian look will be over. I was surprised when most of you came up with the improbable answer that Israeli models are going to be the next thing.

So I guess this is a prophecy-comes-true post: one of the most influential players in the modelling world, Women's president Paul Rowland, is about to launch a giant launch of Israeli models. Not only has he signed up ex-stars Nina Brosh and Shiraz Tal, but he also stole the only female star of Clear agency, Versace's in-house model Sharon Guenish.

But he also signed up two new israeli models, one of them is young cutie Mor Katzir (already here in Paris, in a Women's flat), and the only thing I know about the second one is she is called in her country "the new Sharon Guenish".

Sharon must be thrilled to move to an agency that was so sure of her success her president already took on a hot lookalike.

And let's not forget other hot Israelis out there - Liraz Mesilaty, Kim Iglinski, Hen Yanni, Orit Oren, Havi Mond, who are signed at other agencies. You can launch a "Belgian look" with An Oost, only to find the really hot Belgian of the season is Elise Crombez. Paul Rowland is powerful enough to switch the whole fashion world to Israeli models, but he can never be sure his own models will be the ones benefit from the trend.
