Glamour goes TV

NBC is preparing a pilot to test what could end up being a daily syndicated hour-long morning program with Glamour. The working title is "Glamour Dos and Don'ts," according to Ed Wilson, president of NBC Entertainment, which is footing the bill for the production costs. Glamour editor-in-chief Cindi Leive, who did some TV spots during the Golden Globes for "Entertainment Tonight," said she plans to make regular appearances on a daily show but would not serve as show host. "I have my day job," she said. Glamour and NBC officials declined to single out any contenders, but said that a number of people are trying out for the host job. Glamour publisher Suzanne Grimes said that if the pilot goes well, a one-hour, Monday-to-Friday show could be on air "sometime in 2004." The plans call for it to be a part talk show, part advice show and "part reality TV show," said Leive. "Women live in fear of having that black bar placed over their face," she said. That would be a "don't."
