Sadie: I feel fantastic Sadie Frost today dismissed reports that her husband Jude Law is having an affair with Nicole Kidman - and said their marriage is fine. The actress spoke in person for the first time about the post-natal depression she has been suffering, saying she is "feeling fantastic" after having spent a week being treated at the Cromwell Hospital in west London. Speaking outside her Primrose Hill home, Frost, 34, told the Standard: "I'm feeling fantastic at the moment. It's just post-natal depression. There are no marriage problems." Asked about the alleged affair between her husband and Kidman, she said: "It's all load of rubbish. It's in the hands of lawyers. We are trying to get our family back together after all these stupid lies. People put two and two together and get five." She added: "We are trying to get back to normal. We just want to spend time with our children." The Standard revealed last week that the couple were determined to work out their problems for the sake of their children, Rafferty, seven, Iris, two, and four-month-old Rudy. Frost also has a son, 12-year-old Finlay, from her marriage to Gary Kemp of Spandau Ballet. The couple's American publicist publicist Simon Halls said: "The first priority for them both is the kids - and more so now than ever. Even when they are away filming they are back and forth, back and forth to see their family. Despite any problems they might have had, they are now really pulling together for the children's' sake." This morning, Law proved he was doing just that. Still suffering from jet-lag after a flight from Los Angeles, he woke at 6.30am to help the couple's nanny prepare breakfast for their children before driving Rafferty to school. The actor, looking tired and unshaven, returned 20 minutes later then made breakfast for his wife. Last night, he threatened to sue over claims that he secretly dated Kidman while they were working together on the film Cold Mountain. Over the intercom of the couple's home, Law told reporters: "My lawyers will see you in court." A friend of Kidman's is reported to have said of the actress: "She is seriously keen on Jude Law and the two have been on a number of dates, including a trip to Palm Springs. Jude has been introduced to Nicole's two adopted children." Frost's father, David Vaughan, 58, has added to the couple's difficulties by saying he would not surprised if the actor had been unfaithful to his daughter. Mr Vaughan said: "Jude just thinks of himself. He is that kind of personality who is selfcentred. "Sadie needed encouragement when she was acting and I didn't see Jude capable of giving encouragement. He never supported Sadie and told her how well she was doing as far as acting was concerned. "He wanted somebody to look after the house and the children, while I wanted her to appear in something meaningful like Schindler's List." Vaughan said "every woman and her auntie" is attracted to Law. He told The Sun: "It is not right for me to judge him. But it is up to me to protect my daughter. I know she would be shattered if he was having an affair. She would not be capable of understanding such infidelity." ... Link

The family of supermodel Maggie Rizer is "devastated" over her stepfather’s loss of $80,000 in a five-day gambling binge and his subsequent admission into booze rehab. John Breen, 46, is married to Maggie’s mom, Maureen, in their hometown of upstate Watertown. Rizer’s biological father died of AIDS when she was 14; her mother launched Maggie’s career when she sent Polaroids to the Ford agency. Now Rizer is trying to sort through the rubble of her family’s life back home. "I lost one father to AIDS," Rizer tells PAGE SIX’s Jared Paul Stern. "I don’t want to lose another to gambling and alcoholism." Breen, an insurance salesman who once ran for Jefferson County treasurer, lost the 80 grand, the family’s entire nest egg, playing Quick Draw at the Rusted Route Bar & Grill near Watertown in December. He typically bet between $10,000 and $30,000 a day, and once won $40,000. He wrote checks to the bar to cover the debts, which then bounced. As a result, the bar might go under, reports the Watertown Daily Times. Meanwhile, Breen is at the Tully Hill Alcohol & Drug Treatment Center in Syracuse. "We weren’t fully aware of the severity of John’s problem with alcohol until recently," Rizer says. "My entire family is devastated by it. We’re planning on getting more help for him . . . We’ve all lost a lot of money on this. But it’s not about money, it’s about getting him help . . . He’s been a great father to me. Now we just need to get my family back on their feet." Rusted Route co-owner Gillian Maitland said she assumed Breen was independently wealthy and referred to him as a "gift horse." Now, she notes, "It’s just like a big old mess." Rizer, 25, who graduated from Watertown High School in 1996 and built a house there, has been on the covers of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Allure, and starred in ads for the likes of Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger. ...
